Michael Wilson

Director

 

Michael Wilson has wide experience as an entrepreneur, accountant, and general manager for various companies while working in U.S.A., London, Jamaica, Aruba, Bonaire, Barbados, St. Maarten and other Caribbean islands. 

 

These include between 1979 through 1990; senior member of management of Divi Hotels and Talk Of The Town Group, in acquisitions, marketing, finance and operations. He designed and implemented the first completely automated Casino Management and Control system in Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten.

 

In 1990 as Managing Director, Michael and a group of investors acquired real estate in Bonaire and transformed it into Coral Regency Resort, an upscale hotel and timeshare condominium property in Bonaire. He created the “Mini Developer” concept, a real estate investment vehicle that provided substantially higher R.O.I. compared to a traditional Condominium investment.

 

In 1994, Michael became Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Microdevices Worldwide Inc., a company he co-founded in 1988. Microdevices, a U.S. based company, specializes in international long distance to corporate clients outside the U.S.A. Michael was appointed C.E.O., and is credited for Microdevices’ rapid and profitable growth in the Caribbean…from zero to over five million dollars in international long distance sales within 5 years.

 

In 1977 at age 21, Michael qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (equivalent to a U.S. Certified Public Accountant) in London, and was employed as an auditor in Jamaica and London while working for Touche Ross (now Deloitte, Touché) and Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG).
